1) Develops and implements long-term objectives for the clinical practice related to productivity, compliance, communication and patient satisfaction. 2) Manages and directs the clinical on-boarding for all new clinical faculty. 3) Directly supervises staff in the One-Call Center, Clinical Billing Department, and the Clinical Staff within Pediatrics. 4) Creates and reviews reports for the monthly productivity statistics and key Yale Medicine clinical practice and call-center access dashboards and metrics to assess accuracy and effectiveness of processes and identify trends or items that require immediate corrective action. 5) Develops, manages and adjusts the clinical schedules for providers to ensure providers are meeting their clinical commitment and productivity. Serves as the main point of contact regarding provider schedules and changes requested by physicians and shares this information with the leadership team. 6) Analyzes the provider work schedule for best utilization, tracks provider productivity, and continuously improves the scheduling processes. Responsible for report generation and analysis. From data, recognize potential issues and create management plan to address issues. 7) Responsible for management between the department and YNHH. Develops strategic partnership with YNHH management to ensure allocation of physician/APP resources. Recommends improvements to systems, methods, practices, policies, and procedures. Recommends opportunities to improve efficiency in use of physician and APP effort. 8) Develops, prepares, and interprets complex reports and statistics for each physician. 9) Serves as the operational resource for faculty for expedited problem identification and resolution regarding all scheduling matters and scheduling changes. Manages the system and people for sites with different coverage needs and identify barriers for efficient use of the resources in these areas. 10) Fosters and maintains cooperative and close relationships with YNHH leadership and other YSM clinical department representatives to ensure high level collaboration related to clinical resource planning in areas of clinical interface. 11) Designs and implements process improvement initiatives to achieve efficient scheduling practices for all stakeholders. 12) Responsible for planning department faculty staffing needs. 13) Responsible for oversight and administration of the physician compensation plan for 200+ Faculty. Staffs the compensation committee. 14) Provides efficient and effective delivery and integration of all administrative services (academic, financial, research, and/or clinical). Serves as the department's point of contact to/from service providers ensuring that providers are appraised of unit needs and relevant information, taking action where needed. 15) Leads large scale, department-wide projects related to the operations of the department. 16) Works with HR partners to participate in selection, performance management and career development processes, as well as to address employee relations issues in line with University guidelines and contractual agreements. 17) Other duties as assigned.
Required Skill/ability 5: Strong computer skills. Demonstrated ability working with multiple systems including electronic patient record systems and automated physician scheduling software. Ability to learn new and complex systems. Demonstrated ability running reports, analyze data and synthesize data to present to leadership.
