JOB TITLE: Operations Director, Interventional Radiology LOCATION: Geisinger Medical Center Hospital DEPARTMENT: Radiology WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for operational activities of Interventional Radiology across the system. Partnering with the system Physician Director leader of IR. These two are jointly responsible for all aspects of operation performance including but not limited to, patient experience, employee engagement, market growth, financial performance, change management, and equipment management. financial and equipment needs for assigned department modalities with the IR Team Leaders reporting directly to this position. Responsible for developing and initiating improvements in the organization and delivery of high quality, cost effective radiology services. Responsible for all regulatory requirements of assigned area. Provides back-up support in the absence of Team Leaders and Managers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in a business administration, healthcare administration, or relevant discipline required. Minimum of five years of management experience, (healthcare setting preferred)
Or
Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or relevant discipline required.
Minimum of three years management experience (healthcare setting preferred).
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings throughout the system. Independent travel to other locations required.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC): Located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
